Winchester, MA (February 21, 2020) - The Boston Imperials are extremely pleased to announce the addition of our Girls hockey program to the Eastern Select Girls Hockey League (ESGHL). The ESGHL is a newly formed girls select hockey league intended to provide players and their families an alternative to the current options for select level Girls hockey in New England. As a league, the ESGHL seeks to provide a strong outlet to assist in the growth of Girls youth hockey as participation and interest in such programs rise each year.
\"As the Imperials first year introducing a Girls hockey program, we are extremely confident in our choice to join the ESGHL. It will be very empowering to watch our program and the newly formed league grow alongside one another,\" noted Girls Director Natalie Flynn.
The Boston Imperials are among four Girls hockey programs that have been recently announced to the league this year. These teams include East Coast Militia, Maine Gladiators, and NH East Eagles. Other veteran ESGHL teams include the North Suburban Wings, Boston Junior Huskies, Vermont Shamrocks, Junior Crusaders, and New England Pioneers.
\"We are so excited with the amount of interest that we are generating in our Girls program and are excited about being part of this league that is made up of great owners.\" commented Club Owner Dennis Franczak.
In this league, the Boston Imperials will offer National Bound Girls U12, U14, U16, and U19 teams.
The Boston Imperials are a USA Hockey Sanctioned Hockey Club headquartered in Winchester, MA with a National Tier 1 Academy Program at Matignon High School as well as fall Tier 1 and Tier 2 National Bound Boys and Girls teams at the U14-U19 Levels.
