For the second day in a row, the Boston Imperials added another Catholic High School Coach with the appointment of Chris Kuchar, Boys Head Coach at Malden Catholic, to the staff.  Kuchar joins a staff that includes former professional player and BU Alumni Chris Dyment and Matignon’s Derek Edgerly.

Coach Kuchar will work across the organization, primarily on skills development, specialty instruction, and working with players to help them make their High School teams in November.

“Our goal is to be viewed at as a top club for Catholic High School players and adding someone of Coach Kuchar’s caliber to our staff is a step in that direction,” commented Dennis Franczak, club owner.

Coach Kuchar most recently became Malden Catholic’s Head Coach after 5 seasons at Andover High School, where he most recently led them to the MVC Division One League Championship and to the MIAA Division 1 North Semi-finals.  In 2018, he lead Andover to the Division 1A Super 8 (5th Seed) and was named MVC Division One Coach of the Year in 2016.

Before he arrived at Andover, Coach Kuchar served as Boys Varsity Head Coach at Amesbury High School where he led them to MMIAA State qualification for the first time since 2006.

Coach Kuchar also served as Boys Assistant Varsity Coach at  North Andover from 2009-2010 and Haverhill High School from 200-2008.

For the past two years he has served as Head Coach for Hockey Night In Boston’s summer showcase series.
