Girls Director

Boston Imperials/Boston Hockey Academy

Director of Girls Program

The Boston Imperials Hockey Club is currently looking for a Girls Director to work with club management to build and develop an integrated Girls offering from Mites through 19U including a Girls Hockey Academy team in the future. It is expected the Director would coach one of the teams.

The Boston Imperials are a USA Hockey Sanctioned Hockey Club headquartered in Winchester, MA with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Development programs.  Candidates who are interested should have the following traits:

  • Team Orientated
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Focused on Player Development and Advancement

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Girls program at all ages
  • Screen and interview coaches candidates
  • Bring Ideas on how to expand and grow women’s hockey
  • Organize, plan and attend weekly practices and skills sessions
  • Prepare for and attend all home and away games, including out-of-state games/tournaments

Qualifications:

  • Previous girls coaching and player recruitment experience required
  • Playing experience required
  • Understanding of the Girls hockey landscape
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to attract and retain high-level players
  • USA Hockey Coaching Accreditation required, including appropriate level on-line module
  • Share in and promote the programs philosophy and long-term vision

Coaches
Duties of Our Coaches
 
Coaches set an example and are brand ambassadors for the organization. They are a conduit to players and parents, and as such, must have impeccable reputations in order to coach for our club.  Candidates who are interested in coaching with us should have the following:
- Ability to recruit up to 17+ players to fill a roster
- Willingness to learn the Imperials teaching methodologies for player development
- High Energy
- Credible Background
- High Work Ethic and Strong Desire to teach and develop
- Attention to Detail
- Team Orientated
- Have strong communication skills
- Focused on Player Development and Advancement
 
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the split or full season youth team
- Work within to recruit players who fit our core values
- Organize, plan and attend weekly practices and skills sessions
- Prepare for and attend all home and away games, including tournaments
- Communicate with parents on scheduling and club information
 
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to attract and retain players
- USA Hockey Coaching Accreditation required, including appropriate level on-line module
- Share in and promote the program's philosophy and long-term vision
